If extraterrestrials exist, they came about via natural means. For them to reach us, they would have to be much more advanced than we. It would be tempting to think them, though technically otherworldly, some how supernatural. Just as someone from the middle ages might view us with our modern technology. Think of the miracle radio would seem to him!
