It is a lot easier to be Pro-Choice when it is not you that is being killed.
In many cases, up until age 18.
I think we should implant birth control into all girls until they can afford and pass a parenting course.
I know when abortion SHOULD be allowed.
Rape.
Incest.
Danger to the mother to continue the pregnancy.
In the case or rape, incest, life-altering disease.
Any moment prior to birth.
Until the second trimester (latest time appropriate according to Family Planning)
Also I find it interesting when people say things like if “my mom had an abortion I wouldn’t be here” but at the same time if my parents didn’t have sex I wouldn’t be here either. So according to that logic every time we don’t have sex someone isn’t born (and wont be in our future lives). To solve this problem I propose that we should all go around having as much sex as possible. Wait… what?!
That is a very simple question to answer. The spirit or soul if you wish to call it that, does not enter the body until twenty one days after conception so up until that time it is alright to abort!
In the case of rape, incest, or when the life of the mother is in danger.
Perhaps prior to viability outside the womb? But a fetus in an industrialized country may be viable after only 5 months gestation, but in the third world may not be if born only only 1 month prematurely.
Any legislated answer to this question will either relieve or sicken large numbers of people, all of whom are equally invested in human rights, but who view those rights from different perspectives.
Personally, I so greatly value human autonomy, I cannot fathom telling a woman what to do with her own body.
Abortion should be allowed anytime both parties agree to abort. (assuming the male party can be determined) If the male party can’t be determined then it should be up to the female. If either party wants to take the responsibility for the child the child should go full term and be given to the one who want’s it. If neither party wants to take responsibility for the child it should not come into the world at all. It will never know what it missed and it would be much more humane than being born into a world unwanted by anyone. The last one’s that should decide what happens are people deciding in the name of some imaginary friend.
whenever the goddamn person thinks she needs it. if she wants it, she isn’t ready
