    I suppose it gives credulous people a feeling like they’re accomplishing something. What’s that saying, two hands working can do more than a thousand clasped in prayer?

    Because think of how much worse it would be if we didn’t. I’ve also noticed that if I reuse milk jugs I don’t get murdered.

    no real reason to pray other than make a list of the shitty things that are happening and pretend it’s all gonna be alright.
