5 Responses to “Question #45: What is the punishment for sin?”

  1. Ariel says:

Whatever the society the “sin” occurs in deems appropriate.

  2. Denise says:

The punishment for sin is whatever the market will bear. Maybe stoning, maybe a hair shirt, maybe a scarlet A, maybe a dozen Hail Marys, maybe killing yourself inside a little every day.

  3. Robert says:

Irrelevant. There’s no such thing as sin.

  4. Carole says:

Depends upon the judgement made by the ‘sinner’ and the witness, or the person judging the event, ie Police/jury/Court/armchair critic etc. All participants are under a delusion because they judged something to be worthy of punishment, when in fact only forgiveness can be the true release: self-forgiveness and/or forgiveness of “the perpetrator”.

  5. Jeff says:

Thankfully not as severe as in darker times, when the churches had power over all.

Pain of torture is no longer the sentence for any who dare to read the holy books in a language they can understand.
