We're just an animal with the unfortunate gift of having a brain that is self aware. This brain is so desperate to fill the voids of knowledge that it tends to dream up stuff like gods (and God with a capital "G" :)
I often wish we just had the usual physical specialties like all the other animals have for eg. an owl hunts at night - brilliant! I'd trade my brain for that!
I find it sad that so many people can't see beauty in their lives, our planet and the universe just the way it is.

The existence of God may be unproveable as some have stated, but to believe that all matter that exist in the universe came from nothing and that all matter before the "Bing Bang" theory ,was compressed to the size of the head of a pin, takes just as much faith! I see an intelligent Creator in all life! As human science has advanced ,we have yet to create even a single cell from nothing...and we never will. I'm not talking about some Santa Clause or Easter Bunny kind of God, or some old guy with a beard sitting in the clouds, but a Creator who is the cause of all . All mankind was created with the sense that God exist, but many of us have allowed that sense to be dulled by others who don't have anymore answers than anyone else...they just want you to believe they do. Check God out for yourself!

God may exist, but only if you are sufficiently aware.

God is beyond the experience of most people, but IT can be experienced.

God is beyond the comprehension of most people, but can be experienced.

God can not be experienced through the mind. This is why so few can know that God exists and must "believe" and have faith that IT exists.

A Deity, an authority figure God is not! These are limited human concepts that most atheists and believers alike have bought into.

God is not apart from reality or supernatural. These limiting concepts will only keep us apart from experiencing IT. God is your breath, your thoughts, your body, all of the physical world and the invisible parallel universes that surround us and that we are apart of.

Nope. We can pretty well account for everything without positing a deity.

No. Because the definition of a God requires something supernatural beyond and outside all reality. Meaning it requires faith. A provable God is no God at all. On the terms of religion itself there can never be a God that's the essence of faith.

Aside from that any child can see just by extending the analogy of Santa Claus that there's no God. He's just mankind's imagination to help them cope with their fear of death.

What if, instead of accepting some preconceived notion about what "God" is, and then asking if it exists...what if we start by using the word "God" to describe all of the unknown (and partially unknowable, perhaps) aspects of the world, which are being addressed by these questions. Then, let us learn about that God, which we have much to learn about - from myth, from atheists, from scientists, from philosophers, from religious teachings, etc.

@Jackie You can not live for all of eternity without going insane. Boredom would set in, turning your pure joy into pure torment. If a god was to alter your brain to feel eternal joy you would no longer be you. You would be some kind of mental slave zombie to your god. No more free will. It seems to me, he should be able to create these kinds of zombies if that is what he wants without recruiting humans.

When I was questioning whether God exists, my friend used a great analogy. It is Pythagoras' triangle.
1. You don't believe in God, God does not exist = you become nothing when you die.
2. You don't believe in God, God does exists = oops you're in trouble.
3. You believe in God, God does exist = living in pure joy for all eternity.

You choose.
