  1. arielle says:

I am god, you are god, we are god, everything in existence is god, the meaning of “god” has been tainted, it is not a seperate being. It is not a being. it is a state of being, but not a physical being.

  2. Nick says:

As man is God once was and as God is man may become

  3. sam says:

    yes there is a god.

  4. marc says:

There is no such thing as god. In fact no such supernatural entities exist either. There is no evidence for them, never has been. Its that simple. anyone who says otherwise is diluting themselves or is simply crazy. In a century, hopefully much less, our civilization will look back at our insane fascination with superstition and religion and wonder what we were thinking. This change in the zeitgeist should have happened decades if not centuries ago. Until then there will be wars and other battles fought over ignorant mythologies that people insist on being true. Extraordinary claims require extra ordinary evidence of which we have NONE!

  5. deb says:

Yes there is a God. To those who have yet to have that proven to them, I am very sorry. To those that claim belief is God is the cause of war, I would ask them what God was being fought for in that little battle with Stalin, Hitler, and a host of others. To those that would wish to fight about it, I have only to say to look at themselves, because I have no need to fight with them. I have found a true friend, and I wish the same for them.

  6. Joseph says:

    Deb,
That’s good that you’ve found a friend in your subconscious that makesyou feel safe and wanted but don’t feel sorry for others that don’t have an imaginary friend such as yours, we don’t need one, but obviously you do.

  7. Matt says:

There most certainly is no God. The only reason some of us believe there is a God is because we have been raised that way. I was once a Christian, I was never a Muslim or a Hindu. There’s a reason for that.

  8. mf9000 says:

Tell me what god is. If you don’t I can’t answer this question

  9. peter ogbes says:

    realy there is GOD

  10. Brian Yoder says:

Of course not. There’s no Santa Claus, no Easter Bunny, no Tooth Fairy, and no Big Foot either. Also, Elvis is still dead.

  11. Ramonz says:

there’s no God and Devil. only Human, Earth, and Other Creatures that live on Earth and other Planets.

  12. Lindsay says:

There is no god but if you really want to meet your creator then call your mother.

  13. free from religion says:

People who believe in imaginary beings are delusional
People who talk to imaginary beings are delusional
People who believe in imaginary superstitions like prayer are delusional
Delusion–a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact.
Religion by definition is a Psychosis….
an entire imaginary, delusional belief system
We can call it Religious Belief Syndrome… an acronym could be… Religious B S

  14. maaty says:

sure.. look around and u will definitely see that all thatworld must ahve a creator

  15. Colby says:

Like most people in the US I was raised to believe there was a god. As I grew up I could never seem to accept the philosophy or logic for the existence of god though. After reading many books and doing hours and hours of research I’ve come to the decisive conclusion; there is definitely no god!

  16. Asia Travel says:

Another great post! I shared this one on Facebook – you should add a “like” button to your posts. :)

  17. Rob Raver says:

Consider the size of the universe, google “hubble ultra deep field”

Then consider that in such immense, near infinite complexity, that the mathematical possibilities for God to not exist is impossible.

To put it another way, the mathematical possibilities that other life exists elsewhere in the universe is is very high(99.99999%) due to the near infinite size of the universe.

The same can be said about God.

So life on earth can evolve into sentient beings… statistics say other life has also, elsewhere.

But god couldn’t possibly exist? The odds are in Gods favor.

  18. Carole says:

In my opinion, yes, but not as we know it.

  19. AdamK says:

What does “god” mean? I’ve never heard a definition that makes any sense.

  20. Paul-Douglas says:

Whenever I’m having financial, legal, or medical troubles, there most certainly is a god. At times when nothing compels me to worry, then no god is necessary.

  21. Robert says:

No. At least, so far, there’s no good reason to be led to this conclusion.

  22. Jason says:

    No one really knows

  23. Rudy says:

Before you can define if a thing like “god” exists you must first be able to define what that “thing” is.

  24. SWEJ says:

Even though no-one can know for sure if there are gods*, I don’t see any evidence of the type of gods the major religions like to refer to, I’m going to say no. There is no such thing as gods*.

    (*much like leprechauns)

  25. Annie says:

There’s no evidence for the existence of any god and lots of evidence against the theory of the existence of any of the currently popular gods (Xian, Muslim or Jewish).

“God” has never turned out to be the reason for anything we’ve investigated to date.

  26. Jeff says:

In the sense that people subscribe to the notion of ‘God’ in their minds (like the idea of Santa Claus), yes.
Do I think that somewhere there is an anthropomorphic super spirit of the universe that is concerned with what I eat, who I sleep with, and in what position? Highly improbable.

  27. Trevor says:

I don’t know if there is a god. Those who pretend to know either way are lying to themselves. Most religious people will concede that their belief is a matter of “faith.” Faith is a suspension of rational thinking, of which I do not partake.

There is something unexplainable about our existence, but I think as our scientific understanding of ourselves and the universe expands we will figure it out. There may be levels of human consciousness that we cannot explain or know yet.

  28. Tom Cole says:

It is said that the meek shall inherit the Earth, which I thinks implies that one must be humble to become aware of God. People who say there is no God speak too loudly to have any awareness of the divine, and therefore they are “right.”

  29. Adam says:

It’s impossible to know that God does not exist. You might claim that the lack of evidence he exists is evidence that there is no God – but you have to accept that there may be a creator who chooses not to manifest himself in any way whatsoever to his earthly creations.

It is possible, however, to know that he does exist – by putting his promises to the test and seeing the results.

I think its funny that atheists call the religious people blind and ignorant and they are the ones claiming to know something that is impossible to know.

  30. roger says:

Note from wikkipedia: argumentum ad ignorantiam, or appeal to ignorance, is an informal logical fallacy. It asserts that a proposition is necessarily true because it has not been proven false (or vice versa). This represents a type of false dichotomy in that it excludes a third option, which is: there is insufficient investigation and therefore insufficient information to “prove” the proposition to be either true or false.

  31. Terry says:

    Absolutely not.

  32. JWE says:

Wow! so much animosity from the non-believers! I won’t say there is or is not a God, but i do believe in the possibility because – ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! That is all I believe in – possibilities. It’s possible that God exists and it is possible that he doesn’t. I believe it’s possible that an infinite number of universes exist in which ALL possibilties are explored.

Another way to ask the question would be: Is God real? If you define real as only that which you can sense in the physical universe, the answer would have to be no. If you define real as only that which cannot ever change and exists forever, then God is the ONLY thing that is real!! (This is a difficult concept for the scientific community to embrace – that something may exist even though it has no physical properties)

  33. Terry says:

JWE said: “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!”

Way too many people spout this comment as if it was true. It is not. So why would you believe it is?

I want to come over to your house and watch you walk on water, raise the dead or turn a stick into a snake.

  34. Jackie says:

When I was questioning whether God exists, my friend used a great analogy. It is Pythagoras’ triangle.
    1. You don’t believe in God, God does not exist = you become nothing when you die.
    2. You don’t believe in God, God does exists = oops you’re in trouble.
    3. You believe in God, God does exist = living in pure joy for all eternity.

    You choose.

  35. Terry says:

@Jackie You can not live for all of eternity without going insane. Boredom would set in, turning your pure joy into pure torment. If a god was to alter your brain to feel eternal joy you would no longer be you. You would be some kind of mental slave zombie to your god. No more free will. It seems to me, he should be able to create these kinds of zombies if that is what he wants without recruiting humans.

  36. Greg says:

What if, instead of accepting some preconceived notion about what “God” is, and then asking if it exists…what if we start by using the word “God” to describe all of the unknown (and partially unknowable, perhaps) aspects of the world, which are being addressed by these questions. Then, let us learn about that God, which we have much to learn about – from myth, from atheists, from scientists, from philosophers, from religious teachings, etc.

  37. Richard says:

No. Because the definition of a God requires something supernatural beyond and outside all reality. Meaning it requires faith. A provable God is no God at all. On the terms of religion itself there can never be a God that’s the essence of faith.

Aside from that any child can see just by extending the analogy of Santa Claus that there’s no God. He’s just mankind’s imagination to help them cope with their fear of death.

  38. Thrideep says:

    @Jackie- you left one option

You believe in god and god doesnot exist : you are a fool whole along your life

  39. Jim Palmer says:

Nope. We can pretty well account for everything without positing a deity.
